The Solar Station (Eco Destination) is designed to provide K-12 Teacher In-Service Training and ongoing technical support coupled with student field trip access to reinforce science and math curricula developed/beta-tested therein.
Teacher In-Service Training is an intensive one-day, hands-on workshop focused on creating new skills, knowledge and approaches to effectively present and implement the new core science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education standards while enticing students to pursue college education.
The Field Trip (Eco-Destination) component is designed to reinforce the classroom information with inter-active application similar to the Exploratorium concept in San Francisco.
Teachers and students have an opportunity to provide feedback which is reviewed and evaluated to help prioritize future technology purchases and activity development.
